Business Development Associates at Axial are responsible for driving growth and engagement from the investment banking professionals who use our platform and tools for their M&A and capital raise transactions.
Success in the role requires you to combine a genuine understanding of our market with thoughtful and persistent outreach and engagement.
**Core Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement into your BD process an in-depth understanding of how investment bankers execute deal processes
- Grow usage and engagement from Axial's investment banking customer territory; this cohort represents one of our biggest most strategic growth opportunities
- Execute daily scaled, high-volume touch-points to drive engagement from members, focusing on email, calling, social
- Be your own CEO: you will have the autonomy to be creative in your strategy and how you structure your day-to-day, requiring the self-awareness, commitment to improvement, accountability and grit to do so effectively.
**Qualifications:**
- Bright, hungry to learn, earn and achieve, humble
- Looking for a sales / BD role that is customer-facing
- Must be interested in the financial ecosystem and how businesses are bought, sold, and financed
- Have a strong sense of professionalism & positive attitude, with a team-oriented and "no task is too small" mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of sales, business development, and marketing best practices is a plus
**Experience**
0-3 years of experience (including internships), ideally in:
- a fast-paced B2B sales or account management
- Investment banking (M&A or sales / trading)
