Process, Integration & API Sr. Developer

An AVIO Sr. Developer is responsible for engineering complex, yet elegant technical solutions by aligning the correct Oracle products with client requirements. Candidates will partner closely with business and process analysts, AVIO technical resources and the client technical teams to deliver comprehensive solutions using Oracle process, integration and API technologies. Candidates will possess a strong knowledge of the product suite and strong communication skills.

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement complex, enterprise-class solutions using Oracle Process, Integration and API platforms
  • Gather business and technical requirements from the client
  • Translate requirements to a technical solution in conjunction with the AVIO technical lead
  • Identify and follow existing design patterns to design and build business processes, integrations, services and APIs
  • Implement unit and integration tests following the standards established by the AVIO technical lead
  • Effectively capture solution specifications, design and implementation through excellent written documentation
  • Follow the agile delivery methodology used by AVIO to capture requirements, track progress, and ensure project success
  • Ensure the team adheres to the SDLC guidelines set forth by the AVIO technical lead for source control, code reviews, build and deployment
  • Lead regular code reviews for less experienced AVIO developers
  • Contribute knowledge and lessons learned from projects to the AVIO team and knowledge base
  • Coach and mentor customer and AVIO development resources as needed

  • B.S. in Computer Science or similar
  • 5+ years experience in designing and developing enterprise applications:  Java EE, Spring or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in:
    • Oracle PaaS
    • Oracle IaaS
    • Oracle BPM Suite 11g, 12c
    • Oracle SOA Suite 11g, 12c
    • Oracle Weblogic
  • Demonstrated experience with Web Service, API or integration technologies: SOAP, REST, BPEL, XSLT, WSDL, XML, XSD, XQuery, JMS
  • Experience with Relational and/or NoSQL database development
  • Experience delivering solutions using iterative and agile development methodologies
  • Experience implementing automated unit, integration, functional and performance tests 
  • Experience with modern development tools such as Git, Maven and Gradle
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GoCD or Concourse
  • Preference given to candidates with:
    • Consulting background
    • Oracle product certification
    • Experience leading a technical team
