Business Development Manager

Avex is a New York City based digital agency that creates beautiful, high-performing e-commerce websites for global brands and small businesses. As one of New York’s premier Shopify Plus agencies, Avex partners with brands such as: KITH, Pony Sneakers, Marchesa, Nutrex Hawaii, Badgley Mishka, Rocawear, Shutterstock, Eugenia Kim and many others.

We are a small team and we only take on select projects in-order to bring as much value to our clients as possible. We love trying new ideas and pushing the boundaries of development, design and e-commerce. Our company is growing rapidly and we are looking to further build out our team.

This is a new role to help support our business development and sales. The position will require lead nurturing, lead generation, prospecting, sales, proposals and helping to generate new business. You will work directly with our founder to strategize and execute.

What will the job entail?
  • Build relationships
  • Strategize on inbound & outbound efforts and develop a strong lead pipeline
  • Attend conferences & events as a representative of Avex
  • Utilize lead generation tools and prospect leads
  • Assist in creation of Proposals for qualified prospects 
  • Pitch and secure orders from existing and prospective customers 
  • Monitor and follow up on opportunities
  • Delivering ideas and final proposals to clients for review


Who we are looking for:
  • Passion for e-commerce, creative and technology
  • Experience with SaaS, marketing or e-commerce sales
  • Entrepreneurial mindset 
  • Problem solver and creative thinker
  • Amazing communication skills.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, proposals and pitching new business
  • Inbound and outbound sales experience
  • Experience with Hubspot CRM or similar 
  • Agency experience (huge plus)
  • Shopify experience (huge plus)
