Overview
Aventis Systems, Inc. has an immediate opening for an entry level Sales Development Representative who will be responsible for assisting the sales team with establishing and building strong relationships with both current and prospective clients with the ultimate goal of identifying and developing revenue opportunities. The selected candidate will be required to effectively articulate the Company’s value proposition as well as understand the Company’s product and services portfolio at a high level in order to increase market share and brand loyalty with both customers and prospects. S/he will need to be adept in engaging with accounts and delivering targeted, compelling messaging intended to garner interest in doing business with Aventis Systems on a long term basis.
This individual should possess outstanding organization skills for prioritizing a heavy workload and exhibit strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as are a strong phone demeanor and customer-centric approach.
This position will report to the Director/VP of Sales.
Position Accountabilities
- 85% Outbound B2B sales development activities
- 10% Customer service
- 5% Other tasks as needed
Responsibilities
- Outbound B2B Sales Development
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly opportunity identification and appointment setting objectives
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly outbound activity metrics objectives
- Utilize available resources and tools to establish contact with key account influencers and decision makers to assist sales with relationship building and opportunity pipeline creation
- Understand challenges facing SMB IT target audience and effectively articulate compelling messaging around that
- Collaborate with sales to execute ongoing account strategies based on market data, including customer, channel, and product / service data
- Initiate contact with new ecommerce clients and historical accounts not currently assigned to sales to assist sales with establish strong relationships
- Cold call on prospective new accounts as needed
- Customer Service
- Effectively manage and appropriately route any customer issues to customer service or technical support
- Effectively handle lower priority customer service requests
- Make post-sale outbound customer satisfaction inquiry calls to accounts not currently assigned to sales
- Reporting
- Log all customer information and interaction in Company’s CRM tool
- Accurately track all appointment and opportunity identification information
- Accurately track all outbound activity metric information
- Product Training
- Maintain high level knowledge of Company’s products and services in order to articulate potential solutions tailored to each customer’s needs
- Consistently improve product knowledge through self-study, team presentations, and training sessions
- Understand industry trends and challenges within the computer hardware and software industries
Required Qualifications
- Some college experience
- 1-3 years of B2B direct sales / sales development experience
- 1-3 years of establishing relationships and selling over the phone - Inside Sales
- 1-3 years of CRM experience, Salesforce preferred
- Experience working in and with small businesses
- Proven ability to connect with key account influencers and decision makers
- Outstanding organizational abilities
