VP / Director Business Development & Partnerships

About the role:
Autolist is looking for a key, senior level leader to drive strategy and execution relating to our partnerships and industry relationships. This includes both nurturing current relationships and creating new partnerships in order to expand our industry footprint and grow revenue. As a consumer facing marketplace interacting with millions of unique consumers a month (and rapidly growing), our multi-sided marketplace requires that we build and maintain relationships across the automotive landscape. These relationships include other marketplaces and technology partners; as well as OEMs and key players in adjacent industries like finance and insurance. Ultimately, Autolist’s goal is to build an end-to-end marketplace that incorporates all of these players into a seamless platform for our users -- making this role critical to our long-term success.
In this role, you will act as the interface between Autolist and the auto industry. You will be responsible for driving partnership growth strategy, helping Autolist enter new markets and grow our existing business. You will be part of the leadership team working directly with the CEO and executive team and have significant revenue ownership.

Key activities include:

- Build a deep understanding of and intellectual capital around our partners’ businesses as well as marketplace dynamics
- Develop mutually-beneficial and trusting relationships, making Autolist the preferred marketplace partner within the automotive space and across adjacent industries
- Identify partnership opportunities and new business initiatives that can lead to new revenue streams for Autolist and our partners
- Develop and own top line growth targets across different product categories
- Serve as a voice for revenue and partnership opportunities with the Autolist product team and help guide the company’s efforts towards complete marketplace solutions
- Reinforce and build Autolist’s position as an industry thought leader

You are:
- Passionate for building relationships and helping people solve problems
- Have an eye for value and an intuitive sense for where to focus on creating mutually beneficial relationships
- Comfortable and interested in working closely with partners from the C-suite to entry-level
- Known for your horsepower; you bringing intellect and curiously to everything you do
- Self-driven and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
- Never take no for an answer and are always looking to solve the next problem
- Ego isn’t part of your vocabulary, you take ownership and lead, but share credit and focus on the team’s wins
- Jump at the opportunity to get on a plane to meet face to face and build relationships and the Autolist brand, as well as partnerships
- Ideally have experience working in the automotive industry and in a startup environment
