Customer Support Specialist

We are looking for a Customer Support Specialist to join our growing Operations Team. You will specialize in processing customer and internal requests in a timely, customer friendly manner. You will serve as one of the main liaisons between our carriers, customers, and internal teams and be responsible for helping resolve a variety of unique and challenging problems. As an integral member of this company, you will be provided ample opportunities to improve our internal efficiency and be an advocate for eliminating waste in the freight industry!


What you’ll do

  • Respond to inbound phone and email requests from customers and internal teams
  • Conduct outbound calls to customers to confirm shipment details, validate customer data and coordinate shipment information
  • Notify appropriate parties (internal and external) when there are support issues as they relate to shipments
  • Support customer acquisition and retention teams by answering operational questions and providing consultative information
  • Communicate with or portfolio of transportation providers and customers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight
  • Work with our portfolio of transportation providers and customers to resolve any operational support issues on our customer’s behalf
  • Follow up with customers on any open items relating to freight shipments
  • Assist in building out a new Customer Support division, which includes building out processes and shaping the future of Flock Freight Customer Support
  • Create and improve internal documentation to ensure SOPs are up to date
  • Maintain a high level of customer service throughout all processes

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with customers, partners, and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in Support role preferred, not required
  • Desire to join a fast paced, early-stage startup
  • A great attitude, self motivation, and the ability to thrive in a constantly improving work environment
