Bond is hiring a Data Science Lead to partner with cross functional stakeholders such as Product, Marketing, Design and Compliance in order to improve our product and customer experience, driving top line revenue and cost effectiveness. You will own metrics definition, analysis, and presentation of critical business metrics for the team to drive growth and efficiency across the company. We’re looking for an all around utility player who can also work on a variety of cross functional projects early on.
You will:
- Define metrics that tell the story of our business by partnering with cross functional stakeholders on what to measure, how to measure.
- Present the insights, and recommendations to stakeholders across the company.
- Partner with stakeholders to design experiments on the web, in application, and in marketing to improve conversion and engagement.
- Create and deploy digital assets such as dashboards, automated reports, and metrics to present.
- Constantly improve the infrastructure by ensuring proper metrics are fully instrumented in the platform, communicating gaps as feature improvements for engineering to build, and managing the outcome.
- Eventually build and lead a team of data scientists
- Early on as a utility player, translate internal and external feedback into product requirements, managing a backlog in partnership with engineering, and performing competitive analysis.
- Step in to fix problems when issues arise to ensure customer success is a priority, including interacting with banking partners, fintech partners, core providers and other critical players in the ecosystem
You will have:
- 5+ years of experience in data science and analytics in financial services
- Domain expertise in product, marketing, underwriting and/or member lifecycle
- Experience in managing a complex set of stakeholders
- Incredible communication capability - able to reduce complex data driven insights into key takeaways and drive for consensus
- Expert knowledge of SQL, python, R
- Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or other data visualization tools
- Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with a strong attention to detail
You may also have:
- M.B.A. or Master’s. in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics or a related quantitative field
- Experience at a financial technology or a consulting company focused in financial services.
- Machine learning, model development and deployment experience
- Cloud based model development frameworks such as agemaker, Snowflake, Redshift, Postgres
- Management experience of a small team.
