We believe the future of money is integrated and personal. Bond's mission is to accelerate the pace of financial innovation and access to capital. Our enterprise-grade financial technology platform streamlines the integration between brands and banks, dramatically reducing friction and creating a more repeatable model. Through our AI-powered infrastructure, Bond enables digital brands to better engage their customers by offering personalized and compliant banking products.
Bond’s backend engineers build API microservices which bring our vision to life behind the curtain. You’ll work with other engineers on projects that span various parts of our system, as well as with our business, sales and operations teams to understand and solve our users’ pain points.
Bond’s APIs sit at the center of our business and are accessed by internal and external developers. We raise the bar for how APIs are built by maintaining best practices for developing and releasing APIs.
You will:
- Given an open ended microservice project, with multiple unsolved problems requiring research, you can problem-solve and code it into a clean, Dockerized app using Python and AGILE methods in less than a month
- Analyze multiple approaches to solving problems, including proactively considering outside the box solutions, and you can support your choices with clear, logical communication
- Report progress and results concisely. You proactively anticipate and communicate potential problems
- Maintain, document, and debug, apps that you or others have built, without assistance
You must have:
- You have a CS degree, a STEM degree plus a bootcamp, or overwhelming evidence of experience and accomplishment
- You have 4 years experience programming in Python
- Experience with Docker, Flask, and Linux shell
You also likely have:
- A master's degree from a STEM program, or equivalent knowledge
- Additional years of experience in programming, perhaps in other languages
- Domain expertise in finance, banking, FinTech, or a related field
- Proactively self educate on current trends, and continually update your best practices with minimal guidance
You should include these in your application:
- A resume and/or LinkedIn profile
- A 1-2 paragraph summary of your favorite project from any of your work or personal experiences
At Bond, we value leadership and believe everyone is a leader. We look for people who operate like owners, who love to learn, have grit, and operate with integrity and empathy. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out — and set you apart. We welcome diverse perspectives and people who are not afraid to challenge assumptions.
Bond is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, gender, gender identity, parental or pregnancy status, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or Veteran status.
