You and the Design & UX team will create the next generation UX for banks and their partners to interact with each other. You will be the first hire dedicated to overseeing design for Bond. Your passion and experience in web and mobile design will influence the way all of our customers interact with the platform. By re-inventing banking technology platforms, you redefine how the entire industry operates. This role will initially report to our co-founder and CEO and is a unique opportunity for you to help to revolutionize the industry.
You will:
- Lead design and user experience for our products working closely with our front end engineering team
- Design mock-ups and specifications that represent visual display and work-flow applying typography, organization, hierarchy, color theory, patterns, and interaction design principles
- Collaborate on cross-functional project teams which will include user researchers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to extract insights, make data driven decisions, and drive results
- Transform ideas, mock ups, and data into high quality, meaningful designs; iterate mock ups based on team feedback to ensure all business, user, and engineering requirements are met
- Partner with marketing to develop cohesive design and experience for Bond’s external and internal collateral
- Handle multiple mission-critical projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail with minimal oversight
- Remain current on design software and product design trends and apply to Bond’s Design and User Experience guidelines
- Eventually hire a team of designers, and being an awesome player-coach
You should have:
- 8 years of experience in a previous design role with a software or agency environment focused on enterprise software, fintech, or platform technology companies
- Portfolio of work demonstrating mastery of visual and interaction design principles, specifically related to application design
- Shipped many successful software products, both desktop and mobile
- Extensive experience conducting and/or collaborating with user research and data science to leverage their respective insights
- Proven ability to translate translate ambiguity into design ideas and utilize data to steer the organization
- Demonstrate long-term thinking around strategic and business focused activities
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferably from a School of Art and Design
