Position Overview
We’re looking for experienced strategy analysts on our team. Our “Analyst” position is equivalent to a analyst role at top-tier firms such as McKinsey, BCG, or Bain, and it’s geared toward candidates who have already accumulated some experience at one of these firms (e.g., as an Associate Analyst or Analyst, plus potentially one or two years at the Analyst level). Our ideal candidate wants to continue this strategic consulting work but in the flexible model that Artemis Connection provides. She/He is a strategic thinker, structured communicator, and excellent project manager who can drive forward a case team module and deliver high-quality work products. (As such, we’re also open to candidates with in-house strategy/operations experience, if that experience has built this consulting “toolkit” of skills). Finally, since Artemis Connection focuses on innovative talent solutions (using data and design thinking) to make employees happier and more productive, our ideal candidate is passionate about these topics, too. Please note that we’re flexible on whether this role is a full-time, part-time, or temporary/contract position, and we’ll work with candidates to match the job to their needs/preferences.

The primary role of Analysts is to drive forward a discrete module of work, while also engaging with clients, Engagement Managers, and Associates to contribute to broader case efforts. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Work with case team’s Engagement Manager to refine the key “question” of the module
  • Design, manage, and execute work plan to answer module’s key question
  • As module evolves, develop hypotheses to test, insights to communicate, and recommendations to implement
  • Conduct strategic analyses to execute module (e.g., Excel-based data analytics, client or customer interviews, secondary research, etc.)
  • Communicate module’s findings in a clear, compelling manner, across various forums (e.g., slides, client calls/meetings, etc.), depending on client needs
  • Contribute to broader client development work and case team efforts
  • Coach and professionally develop Associates on team, depending on Analyst’s preferences

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 2-4 years of strategic consulting experience from a top-tier firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) strongly preferred, though in-house strategy/operations experience also considered
  • Experience managing own work modules, and producing high-quality work products, required
  • Track record sideways managing (i.e., informally influencing/coaching) others to measurable outcomes strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic analysis, project management, and effective communication needed
  • Commitment to producing high-quality, client-ready work, on tight timelines, required
  • Orientation toward being a proactive, curious team member
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel required
  • Otherwise, we offer flexibility in shaping a career that matches your professional goals and meets your personal needs (e.g., both location and full-time/part-time/contract status are flexible)
