Job purpose
To assist in establishing and maintain the HR Department of Arbors Management Inc.


Duties and responsibilities
  • Recruitment / Hiring of Employees
    • Maintaining Job Descriptions
    • Posting Job Openings
    • Initial Review of Applicants
    • Managing Interview Process
    • Offer Letters / Screening Applicants
    • Onboarding
  • Compliance/Labor Laws
    • Ensure that the Company is following the best practices in order to limit liability
  • Employer and Employee Relations
    • Act as a conduit between the Company and its Employees
    • Handle surveys to better assess the Employees needs/wants
    • Assist Employees with payroll and timekeeping software
  • Compensation
    • Work with the Executive Committee to refine and update salary bands as needed
  • Employee Handbook and Documentation
    • Work with the Executive Committee on revisions to the Handbook
    • Annual Reviews of Employee Handbook
    • Answer employee questions about Handbook
    • Oversee other Employee Documentation
  • Benefit Administration
    • Handle onboarding of benefits
    • Approve the billing for accounting
    • Make changes to benefits
  • Training and Development Programs
    • Coordinate new employees with the Corporate trainers in order to ensure success
    • Work with Division/Department Directors to create Training Manuals for each position
    • Maintain Training Manuals
    • Create training programs for all employees who are Direct Supervisors in some capacity


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED a must
  • Human Resources or related degree recommended
  • Experience in Human Resources or related field - minimum 2 years
  • Organized
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Computer/Internet knowledge
  • Proficient in email and productivity software (word processing, spreadsheets)
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Positive, professional attitude
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
