Head of Tech Ops

We are currently recruiting a Head of Tech Operations & Support to be based in our London, Monument headquarters. This is a critical role for Arachnys’s technology operations and support process to ensure we maintain our SLA for our clients and provide an enterprise class capabilities in app support, release management and quality assurance,

The successful candidate will be a highly accomplished player/manager with hands-on experience of leading by example on automation of infrastructure services and managing a team of  specialist technology professionals.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Responsibility for achieving agreed SLA for tech and customer KPIs
  • Ensures E2E processes being executed, design processes across all functions 
  • Supports engineering teams with specialist resources when required to become self sufficient - working closely with tech leads
  • Manages team of specialist technology professionals in DevOps, QA, Release Management
  • Manages and prioritises planned project work and unplanned work (dealing with high severity incidents)
  • Provides visibility of the monitoring and reporting on agreed key metrics to internal stakeholders as well as external clients

Essential Requirements for the Head of Tech Operations and Support:

  • 3 years+ hands-on technical experience in automating services in a fast-paced technology environment
  • 3 years+ managerial experience in managing a team of 5-10 specialist technology professionals
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of ITIL support methodologies and processes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate, discuss and negotiate all aspects of projects with stakeholders at all levels and with clients
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to manage changes, exceptions and variances.
  • A bias for action, because speed and quality are equally important
