What we’re looking for:
The Sr. Manager of Quality Engineering is responsible for driving the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality assurance best practices across Arable’ products. This role will lead a team to standardize and execute on these best practices from functional testing through regression and test automation as well as load and performance testing of all Arables’s products. This role has tremendous influence over Arables’s Software Development Lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

What you will do:
- Thought leadership guiding the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of our quality assurance processes and test methodology.
- Instill a sense of urgency regarding quality throughout Arable.
- Interaction with key customers to ensure our quality programs adequately address their use cases.
- Promotion of test automation best practices in engineering.
- Collaboration with Product Management and other departments to analyze business requirements and develop test strategies meeting quality standards.
- Ensure that sprint planning has enough time set of for QA to accommodate quality targets.
- Team development and mentorship of a QA organization.
- Team focus on the intersection of infrastructure and software to provide customers with high quality, high performing, and stable service.
- Creation and maintenance of dashboards demonstrating areas of progress and areas of need.
- Evaluation and selection of tools needed to accomplish quality improvement and automation goals.
What you bring - basic qualifications:
- 10+ Years leading QA Engineer Teams
- Experience testing IoT systems including Endpoint HW-FW, Backend data management, AI/ML and Web mobile app - solutions
- Experience developing test automation strategies
- BA/BS or higher in computer science or related field
- Understanding of Test Automation and experience working with state-of-the-art tools for test automation.
- Knowledge of Relational & No SQL Database with ability to develop queries
- Familiarity with current software design methodologies including Agile (Scrum) and waterfall development process.
- Strong skills for Problem-solving and Issue-Resolution
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Spoken and written English skills with an ability to communicate ideas, problems, and solutions effectively with QA/ team lead.
