Aqua Tots Swim School in Woodhaven is looking for an Aquatic Manager!
30-40 hours per week- including teaching shifts and Deck Supervision shifts
2-3 hours per week for meeting time with GM
2-8 hours per week training and conducting instructor assessments. Time based on demand
Pay is based on experience. Includes benefits and bonuses. Swim experience is necessary
Aquatic DirectorJob Objective:
Lead and manage Aquatic Staff to consistently provide swim lessons that adhere to the Aqua-Tots Quality Assurance standard and monitor lesson progression. Leadership and management of swim instruction staff and Water Safety Program.
Responsibilities Include:
Scheduling/Staffing· Directly responsible to hire, train, review, coach and discipline aquatic staff· Keep track of timecards/timesheets for aquatic staff· Staff evaluations & co-teaching 1-2 per instructor per week (depending on instructor scores)· Oversee substitute instructors and resolve scheduling conflicts·
Anticipate staffing needs:
Training/Evaluations· Implementation of Aqua-Tots curriculum and teaching philosophies· Schedule and conduct hiring and training of aquatic staff· Directly responsible for performance evaluations of all swim instructors· Develop the next generation of excellent swim instructors for Aqua-Tots· Conduct aquatic staff evaluations and coaching· Schedule monthly in-services and choose the in-service topic for the month.· Select and oversee the AT-MWSI who leads the in-service training.
Customer Service:
Follow and implement Aqua-Tots Swim Schools customer service guidelines to ensure an exceptional customer experience for every customer· Insure quality and progression of lessons· Communicate effectively with potential and existing customers· Build relationships with families, know their names and their children’s names· Respond to parents within 24 hours of any reported instructor performance concern and keep accurate record in the instructor file.· Report unresolved aquatic complaints to General Manager.
Daily Duties:
Supervise and support aquatic staff· Lead the aquatic staff in daily operations· Follow and complete (1.1.1 Opening and Closing the Pool) checklist· Monitor trial lessons· Manage swim instructor performance issues and instructor specific concerns· Review Daily Class Rolls with all instructors· Coordinate and manage pool operations- implementing local State/County Health Department standards· Monitor deck supervisors·
Daily/Weekly Pool Maintenance· Ordering and stocking of Pool supplies/chemicals.
