Business Analyst-Kyiv

Apptentive is looking for a Business Analyst who is passionate about building products and features that will delight our customers. This is a unique role where you will not only love our customers but help them love their customers. We currently build tools to allow our customers to connect with their consumers through surveys, notes, and message centers, but we’re looking to expand our connections beyond mobile.
About This Role
As a Business Analyst, you will have to wear a lot of different hats and navigate a variety of unique situations. You’ll need to gather information from many different internal and external stakeholders, and lead teams to drive product roadmaps. In essence, we want you to dream, validate/iterate, and build it. Customer feedback and building trust are essential to being successful, as your work will make or break customer experiences. We work with Phillips, CNN, NPR, eBay, Disney, and other large companies to give customers a voice
Responsibilities (what you’ll do):
- Write user stories that succinctly capture customer needs and pain points
- Define product specifications
- Gather external customer feedback, listening and gathering customer stories to holistically solve a customer problem rather than just building what they think they need
- Collaborate and communicate product strategies with internal leadership to mesh your features with our company’s vision
- Work intimately with the product team in Seattle (comfortable with timezones)
Qualifications (what you have):
- 3 years experience successfully shipping product or features while working with a software engineering team
- Strong and convincing grasp of the English language (you’ll be talking a lot with Seattle!)
- Strong understanding of how software works
- Deep desire for product development holistically
- A track record of caring about customers
- The ability to negotiate and view other points of view
- Experience writing a product spec and/or user stories, and comfortable with ambiguity
Bonus (what we’d love):
- Understanding of Scrum or any other paradigms, and are excited to talk about it (positively or critically)
- Comfortable using many tools such as Jira and Google Docs
- Curious and passionate of multiple hobbies
- Dabble in design and/or programming, either recreationally or professionally
- Enjoy wearing multiple hats
