Strategic Account Manager

We are looking for a high-performing Strategic Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives by assisting our sales team with high growth clients and new lead generation. Strategic Account Managers responsibilities include driving and managing strategic accounts to increase our sales from uncovering incremental opportunities by nurturing key stakeholders, creating holistic attack plans, and developing upsell strategies. This will include current account management, account strategy and sales operations.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong and productive relationships with assigned accounts by leading, and closing upsell sales opportunities for assigned accounts
  • Manage & Co-manage opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Develop & conduct Renewal strategy for accounts (account reviews, additional module upsell, increase recurring revenue from original deal)
  • Run and manage external sales focused weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Assist in RFP responses for assigned accounts
  • Develop effective communication plans - newsletters, executive summaries, business reviews, etc. 
  • Oversee internal and external business plans and playbooks for accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our position with assigned accounts
  • Assist with the sales operations of assigned accounts
  • Develop strategic account specific marketing materials
  • Champion specific account/pod industry trade shows 
  • Prepare reports by collecting sales information and statistics
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
 
Qualifications Needed:
  • 2+ years’ experience in account management / business development experience
  • Proven track record of prospecting and developing a robust pipeline
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience using Salesforce or sales CRM
  • Experience selling in POS Solutions and SaaS (Software as a service) is a plus
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
