CutCom’s major product is AppArmor, which develops
custom mobile safety apps, a
unified emergency notification system, and a
crisis management team platform for higher education institutions, healthcare facilities and police departments all over the world.
Role and Responsibilities
The
Marketing Manager is responsible for the creating and producing (copywriting and design) of both acquisition and retention marketing campaigns at AppArmor. They will also assist in the ongoing development and execution of AppArmor’s marketing strategy. They will work directly with AppArmor’s executive leadership team.
Applicant should be comfortable with taking on new challenges in a fast-paced startup atmosphere and feel comfortable taking on challenges and working independently in accordance with our 5 team principles. That said, AppArmor also very highly prioritizes a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities include:
Copywriting - Assist in the design and implementation of a new AppArmor website (https://apparmor.com/)
- Develop strategy and content for the AppArmor Blog (http://blog.apparmor.com/)
- Write content for and manage weekly communications to the AppArmor customer base (250+ organizations)
- Develop and implement Social Media (Facebook and Twitter) campaigns to engage AppArmor customer demographic.
- Prepare and execute outbound acquisition via traditional and digital marketing channels
- Assist in the creation of AppArmor video advertising collateral
- Review AppArmor customer facing product documentation to improve ease of use.
Graphic Design
- Assist in the development and deployment of a new AppArmor website
- Design of traditional and digital marketing materials while closely following the AppArmor branding guidelines
- Design tradeshow materials in collaboration with the AppArmor Sales team.
- Review AppArmor customer facing documentation to improve ease of use.
- Assist Sales and Operations groups as required.
Marketing Strategy
- Work closely with the AppArmor leadership team to identify new advertising opportunities
- Assist the AppArmor Sales team in breaking into new markets
- Identify innovative ways for AppArmor to reach new and existing customers.
- Assist in the development of a style guide for use by other Marketing Team members.
Skills and Experience
- Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar or marketing and advertising role.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Be very organized and have a strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in design and graphics applications (Adobe Creative Cloud suite)
- Communicate effectively with other team members and customers
- Creative thinking and a systems-oriented approach
- Formal education in Marketing and/or Graphic Design is a plus.
