Training Specialist, Marketing

 Duration: 10 months


You should have training and change management experience in a regulated medical device or life sciences industry setting. You must possess creative and strategic capabilities with strong communications skills and excel in project planning and training execution. Marketing background is highly preferred. 

Engagement runs through 2019. 

Responsibilities 

Assess 
• Develop a list of marketing content roles and responsibilities and map them at a high level to “jobs to be done” across content planning, creation, review and approval 
• For each “job to be done” gather and organize existing training materials 
• Assess current strategies in place for creating and delivering training to marketing, and providing access to ongoing training support and materials 
• Identify gaps in current training materials, processes and support through your own assessment and by talking with stakeholders 
• Understand plans for training platforms and how these platforms may be leveraged to improve the employee training experience 
• Identify likely trainers and training content sources related to the deployment of our new content management platform, new content creation processes, and new content approval system 
• Develop a change management, training and communications plan to support the rollout of a new content management platform and content approval system 
• Identify trainees to be included in training for new processes and platforms, including those non-marketing trainees involved in review and approval of advertising and promotional material 

Implement & Drive Adoption 
• Working with subject matter experts (SMEs), project manage the development of new training materials related to the content management platform and content approval system 
• Develop and host live training sessions with SMEs and ensure re-usability of training recordings and materials 
• Measure and improve engagement with training programs 
• Ensure training materials and processes are “evergreen”, including strategies for new employee onboarding and refresher training, as well as self-training materials 
• Centralize existing and new training materials for improved access and searchability 
Minimum Qualifications 
• Experience developing training programs and materials 
• Experience as a marketer or working within a marketing organization 
• In-depth understanding of how to drive adoption throughout an organization 
• 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Business, or Marketing; or equivalent experience 
• Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills 
• Experience working across multiple time zones, cultures, and a diversity of native language speakers 
• Ability to work and lead effective programs in a matrix organization 
Organizational Context 
You will work closely with roles within Global Marketing operations and Global Commercial Learning, and the Global Content and Campaigns leader and team.  .
