Title: General Ledger Accountant
Duration: 3 months
Location: Newport Beach, CA 92663
Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week
Bachelors Degree in Accounting (REQUIRED)
Working knowledge of General Ledger System (REQUIRED)
Strong MS Word & Excel (REQUIRED)
Minimum of 5 years experience in general and/or Hospital/Healthcare accounting (Highly Desired)
Manager is looking for a minimum of 4-5 years of accounting experience in GL, booking JEs, reconciliation of GL accounts, month end close process, and fixed assets experience. Required: Excel and typing test required with each submission
The candidate will help with Fixed Assets recording in the system and property tax statement filings. It would be essential that they have the basic knowledge in fixed assets accounting and have intermediate to advanced skills in MS-Excel. Please note this is general ledger accounting and has nothing to do with Accounts Payable.
Performs general accounting functions for the department. Knowledgeable of GAAP principles and
OSHPD guidelines for financial preparation essential. Knowledge in determining booking journal
entries in accordance with GAAP. Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating
procedures. Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct.
