Here is a brief Job description:
·         The Learning Development Specialist is responsible for improving the knowledge, skills, and productivity of employees and partners through the development and promotion of learning programs.
·         The Learning Development Specialist assesses learning objectives to create relevant, appropriate training assets.
·         This individual designs and implements effective solutions/methods to educate, enhance and recognize performance.
·         The individual assuming this role of Learning Development Specialist will support
·         business unit partners as part of the go-to-market launch.
·         The role requires professional instructional design (ID) and development competency for global delivery.
·         Must have knowledge of development tools (examples include Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.) 
 
Job Summary: 
·         The Learning Development Specialist is responsible for creation and development of engaging learning programs in a variety of modalities.
·         Knowledge transfer topics will vary across business unit portfolios to support new offerings and certification programs, requiring a balance of agility, creativity, sales enablement and technical skills.
·         The Learning Development Specialist may be responsible for a portion of a larger project, or for an entire training cycle, including all planning activities, establishing course objectives, identification of audience, determining delivery methods, working with subject matter experts throughout process, development of course content and course evaluation. 
 
Responsibilities and Duties: 
·         Develop material for new training programs/systems; review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs/systems, and recommend appropriate changes. 
·         Collaborate with a diverse, decentralized team including key business stakeholders. 
·         Work with internal templates and have strong knowledge of industry standards of various methods for quality learning. 
·         Adapt, design, and develop all instructional materials including user guides, tutorials, storyboards, scripts, course content (including simulations, role play activities, gamification, etc.) pre- and post-tests, and student and facilitator directions for blended learning solutions to be offered in the learning management system (LMS). 
·         Work with various modalities such as instructor-led (ILT,) on-line (OLT,) blended learning and video. 
·         Manage time and project schedules to meet deadlines 
·         This role will take direction from the Knowledge Center’s Portfolio Owner to process all activity. 
·         Must follow existing defined processes and procedures that are present within the internal organization. 
·         Stay abreast of organizational strategy, performance and challenges. 
 
Qualifications: 
·         Bachelor’s degree in training, adult learning or a related field or related experience 
·         A minimum of five (5) years as an instructional designer and development competency, preferred 
·         Knowledge of adult learning principles, various training methods, and web delivery tools (video, podcasts, webinars) 
·         Experience in technical and sales enablement program design 
·         Ability to design, develop and manage projects from inception to completion 
·         Strong experience with SME engagement and collaboration tools 
·         Proficient with Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud 
·         Proficient in MS Office applications i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word with expert level PowerPoint skills 
·         Strong written and verbal communication 
·         Must be agile, innovative, results/detail oriented, and a team player 
·         Excellent interpersonal and reporting skills, ability to multitask with self-accountability 
·         The ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment outstanding time management, organizational, and analytical skills 
·         Ability to learn new concepts, products and technologies quickly 
·         Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting 
·         Ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects at the same time
