Job Overview:
Build & Release Engineer (Contractor) will be responsible for providing build and release strategy/execution for highly complex as well as parallel and concurrent releases for a Software Product. Manages Continuous Code Integration within SDLC. The role demonstrates deep understanding of concurrent software development, its effect on build management and releasing the builds across versions and environments
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum 5 years of related work experience
Minimum of 6-12 mo. of CI/CD focused work experience
Technical Expertise:
Contributes in driving initiatives such as defining standards and processes to ensure quality
Expert in developing code for other developers to learn from
Demonstrated success improving workflows through the CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Electric Commander/Electric Flow, Jenkins, Bamboo, Chef, Artifactory.
Demonstrated knowledge using tools such as Maven, Grunt, Ant, Gradle
Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, Groovy
Significant experience interacting/managing physical/virtual infrastructure (VMware, vRealize, AWS)
Strong knowledge of source control management (Perforce preferred)
Working knowledge of some object oriented programming language
Leadership:
Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions
Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas
Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
