Specific Requirements:
Primary responsibility will be to assist the Siemens Digitalization Network (SDN) Program and the SD-WAN Central Migration Team work streams to migrate 1,500 service points around the world. L
The successful candidate will be part of a Global Team consisting of over 50+ project resources that interacts well with individuals at all levels of the organization. The SD-WAN Central Migration Team member must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment and conduct business with respect to others. The SD-WAN Central Migration Team Coordinator will report directly to the Global SD-WAN Transition Lead based in the Americas. The role is responsible is responsible to carry out the four work streams detailed below.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred but High School Diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) could be sufficient with relevant experience desired.
General knowledge in the following areas:
• ServiceNow / Incident Management ticketing system/ monitoring tools
• General IT understanding
• Familiar with network terms / network concepts (WAN vs LAN)
• Incident management / problem management practical experience
• Self-motivated, self-initiating, collaborative mindset behavior is a must
• Experience in a Global environment (team supports North America, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and South America)
Work Stream 1 — Approve Site Mapping:
- Review and refine initial Service Mapping (Initial Mapping is done automatically by default rules)
- Review / verify site configurations for all sites per wave
- Review current network traffic and size (refine) the default bandwidth
- Request RFQs for refined mappings
- Collect Offers and compile all data to an information set
- Prepare communication packages (incl. technical templates, organizational procedures, interface with PE/BN)
- Handover Information set to IT Business Partner (Partner Engagement / PE&OS) is responsible for alignment with business)
- Refine mappings based on Business feedback (requirements)
- On request consult customer on alternative solutions / options
- Provide bi-weekly status to Transition Manager
- Initiate escalation where major deviations are detected
Result: Bring sites from the status ‘initial mapping to the status ‘mapping approved’
Work Stream 2 — Manage Order / Waves:
- Request and Track required data for ordering from local Transition Team (e.g. role of Implementation Manager)
- Assign approved sites to appropriate waves.
- Refine Waves according to the size; regional distribution and customer priority
- Prepare order
- Quality control of wave and included orders
- Release Wave/orders - Note: The ordering is done by Siemens (e.g. Transition Manager)
- Provide bi-weekly status to Transition Manager
- Initiate escalation where major deviations are detected
- Track and accelerate RfQ progress and verify pricings for all sites per wave
Result: Bring sites from the status ‘mapping approved‘ to ‘released‘.
Work Stream 3 — Track Implementations and Manage Slot Calendar for Cut-Over
- Track / accelerate / document service delivery progress for all sites per wave
- Track the Implementation with Provider and local Implementation Manager
- Consolidate status
- Prepare and align config data with local Transition Team
- Assign single sites to the slot calendar, based on the individual implementation progress, customer priority, regional availability
- Inform Siemens roles regarding planned cut-over
- Participate in Cut-Over Calls & register status of Customer Acceptance Test
- Provide bi-weekly status to Transition Manager
- Initiate escalation where major deviations are detected
Result: Bring sites from the status ‘ordered’ to ‘operational’.
Work Stream 4 — Termination of old service and closure of site migration
- Monitor Bandwidth utilization
- Monitor incidents in regards of SD-Wan specific reasons
- Register ‘veto’ for dismantling old service, align with Transition Manager and forward to Provider.
- Verify correct financial transition New service OTC and MRC charged correctly; old Service not charged anymore.
- Provide bi-weekly status to Transition Manager
- Initiate escalation where major deviations are detected
