Electronics Technician III
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Duration: 12 Months
Description:
Background and Experience:
1) 5+ years technical experience, preferably in a regulated environment
2) Associates/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline
3) Performs complex technical functions such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems
4) Demonstrated experience documenting and organizing test data and lab notes
5) Demonstrated experience conducting root cause analysis of electronics and electro-mechanical systems to component level
6) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
7) Utilize various electronic test equipment, such as meters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
8) Perform component level device removal, component soldering, and electronic repair
9) Develop and document test procedures
10) Maintain a clean and organized workspace
11) Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with engineering and management as needed
12) Preferred Candidate will also have:
a. Experience with SAP, Trackwise, or similar databases
b. Experience in a medical or highly regulated environment
c. Familiarity of 5S and Continuous Improvement workplaces
d. Familiarity of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Physical Requirements:
1) Candidate shall be able to stand, sit for extended periods of time, reach, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, use hand tools and electronic measurement equipment
Interview: Candidates should be prepared to:
1) Provide examples of complex systems that they have investigated and types of analyses used to reach root cause conclusion
2) Describe their knowledge of circuit that they have investigated.
3) Describe their approach to troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and/or pneumatic devices at system and device level
4) Present or detail examples of technical documentation of their investigation of electronics and systems.
