Responsibility
- Configures, deploys, and maintains network equipment and physical infrastructure, as well as providing support to Systems Administrators
- Performs diagnosis of reported problems, identifying problem type and severity to facilitate appropriate response
- Monitors resolution progress and provide periodic updates to stakeholder(s). Escalate problems as necessary
- Corrects production problems by analyzing programs or systems to determine the cause and impact. Changes systems and applications to prevent problem recurrence, including altering incorrect configurations, and modifying existing configurations and schedules
- Tests fixes and performs post-resolution follow-up to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
- Establishes and maintain standard operating procedure documentation for applicable systems
- Assists in administration of operating systems and applications
Required Skills
- HP ALM Experience
- VMWare Experience
- Maintaining and monitoring fiber and copper network, network routers and switches, LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, intranet systems, firewall rules, VPN connectivity, wireless network etc.
- Knowledge of C#, CSS and scripting language
- knowledge of SQL
- knowledge of Microsoft Networking, Server OS
- knowledge of RHEL
Network Skills
- Layer 4 & 7 Firewalling (SRX, Firepower, Checkpoint, PAN, Fortinet)
- Layer 3 Routing & Switching (Cisco, Juniper)
Application Skill:
- Patch manager deployment (familiar with SolarWinds, Ivanti, Flexera or PDQ deploy )
- Network Monitor deployment (SolarWinds)
- Familiarity with DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) (Infoblox)
- Server/PC backup software
- Antivirus management system
- Jenkins/Cloudbees deployment
- Familiarity with Docker, K8S
- Document writing skills & experience.
