Title: Buyer/Planner II
Location: Rancho Cordova CA
Duration: 9 months
DESCRIPTION
• Planning a portfolio of parts, including demand forecasting, stock target setting, replenishing and rebalancing, controlling operational costs, to achieve the expected material availability and inventory performance
• Analyzing gaps in performance, identifying root causes, and running or supporting continuous improvement and breakthrough activities to develop and implement countermeasures
• Execute demand forecasting and improve forecast accuracy, stock target setting and supply planning for your defined portfolio
• Partner with other functional teams to understand the drivers of supply constraints and support the supply chain to avoid/solve critical parts issues
• Supporting daily management and other supply chain business intelligence work
• Promoting LEAN principles throughout the company
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
• Bachelor degree in business, engineering, logistics or supply chain management
• SAP ERP experience is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in the supply management or service field
• Experience with purchasing, planning and inventory management
• Experience working in a multi-cultural and global environment
• Experience working with remote and distributed teams located in different time zones across the globe
• Travelling requirement: less than 10% of the time
