Duration: 4-6 months. Contract To Hire    
Here is a brief Job description:
Determine the throughput times for urgent service projects (e.g. for spare parts or repairs) in coordination and agreement with the various organizational units involved (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing), prepare workflow time schedules, coordinate with Sales and agree the delivery deadline, and provide technical support for Sales at customer meetings as needed. Inform and involve management in problematic cases.
Prepare order-specific throughput schedules (e.g. a general overall time schedule) based on the order documents, technical specifications, standard delivery lead-time tables and supplier bids taking into account specific materials and design variants as well as the current market conditions, record the schedules in the current data-processing system (e.g. SAP), and approve materials requirements planning orders for release. Coordinate and agree with the organizational units involved if the available data are unclear or incomplete.
 
Monitor across all units involved for on-time compliance with scheduled deadlines when large numbers of service orders are executed in parallel. Monitor all units involved (e.g. Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Shipping) for on-time compliance with milestone dates and deadlines. Work with the responsible managers to define and implement corrective and preventive action to counter nonconformities. Review the overall status and impact of the order schedule situation and, where delays threaten on-time compliance with contractually agreed deadlines, define and agree countermeasures with the responsible downstream process managers to ensure on-time compliance with the time schedule. Initiate escalation of decision-making to the superordinate managerial level as needed in accordance with company guidelines. Continuously update the time schedule in a data-processing tool (e.g. SAP). 
 
Prepare customer acceptance inspections in accordance with contractual agreements (e.g. by providing measurement records and time schedules), and coordinate and agree acceptance inspection appointments with customer representatives and suppliers (both internal and external). Clarify or obtain clarification for any nonconformities identified within the course of acceptance inspection with the customer representative(s) taking company interests into consideration, where required in an appropriate foreign language (usually English). 
 
Report continuously (e.g. to project management and the customer) on the time schedule situation of orders. Respond to questions received, where needed following prior clarification with the pertinent organizational units. 
Regularly determine and comment on the key performance indicators within the assigned task scope (e.g. for on-time compliance), and forward as appropriate or required. 
 
Regularly update the standard delivery lead-time tables in accordance with the information provided by the organizational units involved (e.g. Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering).
