Job Description:
The Dell Infrastructure Solutions campaign marcom team concepts, produces and delivers global marketing content and creative for the company’s data center solutions business—from IT infrastructure (servers, storage and networking) to IT solutions (cloud, data capital and artificial intelligence). The senior designer will provide hands-on visual design for assigned projects and/or campaigns, working closely with marketing directors, creative directors, art directors, copy directors, copywriters, account managers, project managers, video producers and other graphic designers. Responsibilities include researching, planning, concepting and producing graphic designs for a variety of marcom deliverables, including but not limited to static online banners, animated online banners, print ads, social media ads, infographics, promotional emails, event kits, web pages and interactive. The senior designer will also learn the global creative handover process and work with the production team to properly prepare all design source files for global delivery. Duties may involve working with vendors, contractors and other outside resources to manage the creative process.
Specific Skills:
• Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design • 4-8 years of graphic design work experience, preferably for a global organization • Mastery of graphic design principles (typography, form, color, composition, grid) • Advanced skills in Adobe CC, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word • Excellent creative concepting/ideation skills, with the ability to move fast • Demonstrated understanding and experience in digital graphic design • Demonstrated understanding of customer-first digital experiences • Understanding of web design best practices (HTML5/CSS3 experience preferred) • Strong ability to take direction and subsequently give direction in a dynamic environment • Strong ability to multi-task, work on several competing priorities as part of a fast-paced team • Strong ability to prioritize and reprioritize throughout the day with great efficiency • Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills • Strong presentation skills, with ability to articulate visual concepts to executives • Strong ability to engage and collaborate across all levels and teams within the broader org • Extreme attention to detail and consistency, with an inherent drive for creative excellence • Strict adherence to Dell Technologies brand and visual language/identity • Must send design samples with resume via PDF or link
Accountabilities:
Plans project schedule and strategies to ensure development, production, and completion of marketing programs. Develops, analyzes, and recommends evaluation process that identifies strategic advantages, competitive programs and customer needs. Prepares materials for internal and external presentations on products, business plans and leadership communications. Translates product plans, roadmaps and strategies into key product marketing messages and communications. Determines appropriate vehicle for message and audience Conducts concept presentation with the agency to provide direction. Manages inputs for content of communication with Brand, Legal and other stakeholders. Provides creative input to agency on layout and positioning, etc. aligning to Dell brand and voice guidelines. May be responsible for agency management including relationship, contract, planning and execution. Works with agency or team to set marcom strategy. Manages and optimizes the marketing communication budget. Develops and/or obtains approvals for project or creative briefs. Tests messages with customers, analysts and regions to ensure relevancy. Delivers pan-Dell alignment in critical GTM areas (events, sales plays, pan-Dell & Vertical messaging, BTB Digital, content and Channel). Integration point between planning, BUs, global shared services, and regions. Facilitates alignment, coordinate asset development, and drives execution of campaigns. Inputs marketing mix recommendations into planning process based on best practices & campaign analytics. Owns functional campaign briefs. Manages day-to-day campaign activities including working with virtual team to drive execution against objectives and deadlines. Integrates with regions & regional sales to ensure campaign objectives are understood and communicated, campaign milestones hit, and in-period adjustments made based on requirements and/or market shifts. Drives development of marketing toolkit guide that clarifies the role of marketing tactics, applications, and KPIs. Standardize as input to planning process. Develops and standardizes campaign management processes, responsibilities, and infrastructure. Establishes campaign KPIs, dashboards, and communications cadence to BUs, regions, and sales on performance. Manages development and review of creative processes. Provides direction to all internal marketing teams as well as external agencies. Coordinates with other campaign managers, marketing and business leaders to schedule and orchestrate campaigns for maximum impact.
