The Production Supervisor is responsible for production output based on labor/equipment efficiency and material availability; supervising employees in a manufacturing environment; enforcing company policies and safety requirements; identifying opportunities and solutions for continuous improvements; promote and practice lean initiatives and quality of product.
Responsibilities / Projects:
Continue the implementation of Zero Harm Culture projects in the assigned area and across the building, including:
o -Safety Score Card = 95%+
o Lead and implement Safety projects to eliminate / reduce safety hazards
Supervise 15-25 hourly employees in the production areas assigned.
o Ensure effective employee relations by providing feedback, coaching, and development
o Track absenteeism and timekeeping
Define and implement cross training program for the area
Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost and morale to achieve positive results in all areas - work for continuous improvement
o Maintains work flow by monitoring process, observing control points, eliminating bottlenecks and facilitating corrections to manpower delineation
Define and implement productivity projects that result in cost savings for $50K
o Material flow and presentation
o Reduce Overtime
o Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, displays and progress report outs
o Maintain accurate production floor inventory levels
o Procure and maintain production floor supplies
