QA Technician 
Duration: 12 months
Location: Hackettstown NJ
Purpose of Role: 

Position in Quality Assurance that assists in developing, implementing, maintaining and proactively improving quality management programs, methods and systems to assure product, processes, and environments conform to the established Mars quality standards. The Quality Assurance Technician proactively identifies gaps to quality systems to minimize quality and/or food safety risks to the business and maintains strong preventative programs. The position acts as a technical resource for ongoing application of quality standards. The job involves organization, data entry and manipulation, training, auditing, good communication skills, and technical writing. The position promotes product safety and general product quality awareness within the manufacturing site. 

 Principal Accountabilities

  Ensure product and process conformance§
  Assist in tracking and trending analysis of non-conformances.§
  Assist in developing short one point lesson trainings§
  Assist in non food safety quality related investigations§
  Assist in GMP inspections§
  Microbiological Conformance§
  Complete environmental swabbing in accordance with Site QA administered environmental monitoring program.§
  Organize, review, log and trend microbiological results as needed.§
  Document Control and Standard Work§
  Review documents for completion and conformance to requirements.§
  Assist in writing standard work and job aids§
  Any and all other relevant tasks as deemed necessary by QA Manager.§

 Key Experiences and Desired Education 
 What professional experiences must they have had and for what length of time in order to create superior results? What key education must the associate have completed in order to be ready to create superior results? 
  Preferred Experience, 2-4 years experience in a food manufacturing environment or experience in a technical support area such as Engineering, Quality Control, R§&D, or Laboratory Services is acceptable. Will accept entry level if has preferred education. 
  Preferred-Degree in Engineering or Food science discipline or related field (Biological, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Mathematics) or equivalent experience. Minimum – high school/GED with relative experience.§
