HR Assistant

The HR Assistant conducts resume and application prescreening for recruiters. HR Assistants will post job openings to both internal and external job search websites. Maintain proper record keeping for hires, transfers, promotions, and test results.

COMPLETE DESCRIPTION:

The HR Assistant conducts resume and application prescreening for recruiters. HR Assistants will post job openings to both internal and external job search websites. Maintain proper record keeping for hires, transfers, promotions, test results and other data as requested. The HR Assistant will also keep records of candidate interviews and give status reports to managers.  The HR Assistant is required to know the life cycle of the recruitment process in order to assist when needed.  The HR Assistant will also facilitate in guiding candidates through the recruitment process and answer questions as they arise.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare interview guides and interview schedules using the Selection for Excellence system. 
• Participating in recruitment efforts
• Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications
• Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, employee referrals, and other good faith efforts.
• Prescreens candidates to determine the most qualified and promising candidates according to minimum and preferred qualifications.
• Utilizes Microsoft Database tools to create interview guides.
• Administer Microsoft tests; schedule skill, intelligence, or psychological tests; inform applicants about job  duties, responsibilities, pay, benefits, hours of work, working conditions, company policies, and other related information. Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications.
• Maintaining computer system by updating and entering data
• Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process, setting appointments and arranging meetings.
• Compiling reports and spreadsheets and preparing spreadsheets
• Pursue and maintain education on recruitment trends, legal aspects of employment and general human  resource practices. Including current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook,

• Proficient in the use of applicant tracking systems and SAP

EDUCATION:

Required: Associates degree in Business or other related field required
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or PHR/SPHR

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:

• Microsoft applications testing will be required for this position. Candidates are required to score 90% or above demonstrating intermediate level abilities with Microsoft word and Excel.

Related Experience:

• 1-2 years of Recruitment/Staffing, Human Resources or other relevant experience. Applicant Tracking System experience. Success Factors Applicant tracking experience is preferred.
