Duration: 9 Months +
The Site Manager has full responsibility for day-to-day site activities including:
Establish construction procedures requirements for contractors
Responsible for all construction activities related to the project
Supervise and support civil and construction field engineering as needed
Ensure Contractor executes construction in accordance with contract and applicable codes and standards
Monitor Contractors organization plans, resourcing and performance
Inspect construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
Review, evaluate and recommend Change Order disposition / Claim Management to ensure effective trend analysis and cost control
Review and acceptance of Health and Safety Plans and method statements and their implementation
Co-ordination with Customer’s site representatives
Co-ordination with office-based project team(s)
Co-ordination with local organisations and third parties affected by the works
Site document control and reporting.
Site walks and general site observation.
EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum 8 years’ experience as a Site Supervisor (or equivalent) on an Heavy Construction Industry/ Substation construction site
Experienced in all substation site activities including civil, installation, commissioning and health, safety and environmental practice
Requires the presence and personal qualities necessary to effectively monitor and control the site – such as people management skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Work with international and intercultural project teams
Good IT skills – i.e. competence in using Microsoft Office.
