Description
The Financial Analyst works closely with the Performance Controller and Commercial Project Managers to provide timely financial review to management and corporate headquarters.
Monthly responsibilities include: Posting business-specific journal entries; Compiling and analyzing project indicators; Preparing performance reporting for corporate; Additional other tasks as assigned.
Ad Hoc responsibilities include: Balance sheet reconciliations; Historical and current data review, analysis, and corrections (as needed); Validation of business transactions (as needed); Research, analyze, and propose solutions for specific items.
Additional assignments may include: Forecasting and budgeting; Weekly reporting packets; Development of automated reporting; Process improvement and documentation.
Qualifications, Experience & Technical Know-How:
• Intermediate to advanced Excel ability
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to work independently
• Ability to read and understand a Balance Sheet and Income Statement
• Ability to post journal entries with accuracy
Experience and Education:
Typically these functions require relevant experience in auditing, accounting, or finance and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Some SAP experience is preferred is not essential. Looking for someone with about 3-6 years of experience.
This is, at its core, an accounting position, and the right candidate will need foundational experience posting journal entries, using accounting systems, and communicating accounting information to management or superiors.
This is a fast-paced job at times, and this person needs to be able to learn quickly and produce work with a high degree of accuracy. Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Vlookups, and similar functions are also necessary.
