Sales Support Engineer

Job Title - Sales Support Engineer 
Create and maintain Service pricing in SHARE and SAP, including multiple levels of complex pricing adjustments for specific products in order to ensure accurate pricing of service products. Interface with Service Product Managers to identify additions, deletions and any changes for each quarterly price book release. 

Create diagrams and sub-diagrams in SCON and maintain HQ and local diagrams through material maintenance to ensure technically correct configurations for quoting purposes. Identify and resolve more complex diagrams and apply problem solving skills in order to deal with service offerings, promotions and any non-standard offering. Review active diagrams in each price book release to identify any changes or new services. 

Maintain master data to include products, descriptions, customer discounts, text, opportunities, and interface mapping of contract configurations. Create customer accounts and Purchasing Agreements in SHARE. Perform account maintenance for partner related issues. 
Maintain and administer Customer Discounts in SAP for individual, GPO, and Compliance Customers for T&M Labor Materials, Parts, Call Management Fees, Tech App Support Materials, 

A key contributor in defining service quoting requirements and functional specifications for any and all future SHARE releases to any and all new functionality. Subject Matter Expert participation in software release planning and requirement gathering for any and all functionality (forecasting, opportunity management, discount hierarchy, approvals, LoA, DoA, funnel management, quoting, purchasing agreements, promotions, account data, pricing adjustments, levels of discounting), as well as documenting defects, enhancements and reviewing possible solutions with IT. Performs Regression Testing to all assigned defects to conclude UAT. 

Create and maintain mapping tables in SAP in order to integrate part numbers from SHARE over to SAP to populate a service contract with accurate deliverables and pricing. When creating new materials types and deliverables, any and all business processes need to be thoroughly thought through so that there will not be a negative impact. 
Identifying complex issues with non-standard mapping practices has been the process in the past. However, that process has been replaced with the management of a new mapping table (Z9DFL) in SAP which requires directives to IT for any new implementation. 

In order to effectively maintain the service quotation tool, develop the diagrams and maintain the price book, the employee must be creative, innovative and an advocate of change and a self-starter. It is important that the highest level strategic objectives are retained, so a strong focus on near-term and future results can be obtained. The employee must be able to visualize future changes and drive the process to accommodate that change - quickly and easily. 

The development of service diagrams and the pricing configuration demands an ability to analyze and learn as new products and configurations are introduced. Consequently, the employee must be well organized and focused on quality as well as having the knowledge of multiple business transactions. Further, to improve future pricing policy and techniques, the employee must continue the learning process and educate others in the continuous expansion of SHARE functionality and pricing and configuration logic.
