Description:
Supports the planning of detailed product development objectives. Participates in the preparation and implementation of supply chain and manufacturing activities related to new product development and design transfer.
Required Education
Bachelor of Science in any of the below fields from an Accredited US or EU College:
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Biomedical Engineering
Nuclear Engineering
Aerospace Engineering
Automotive Engineering
Materials Science Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
Systems Engineering
Work Experience:
2-3 years experience in an FDA Regulated Industry or Medical Device Development/Manufacturing Industry or Semiconductor Equipment Development/Manufacturing Industry or Automotive or Aerospace Industry.
Required Skills:
-Ability to perform root cause analysis on parts issues to derive resolution.
-Prepare written reports as well as make presentations to Senior Engineers and peers at various Quality Review and Design Review Meetings.
-Ability to interpret GD&T drawings and perform tolerance analysis.
-Ability to perform assembly of electro-mechanical components to build prototypes.
-Experience with design and manufacture of Sheetmetal Fabricated parts.
-Experience with design and manufacture of Machined metal Fabricated parts.
-Experience with design and manufacture of Plastic molded Fabricated parts.
-Experience with design and manufacture of Printed Circuit Boards.
-Experience with material surface finishes and processes.
-Experience with using hand tools to build electro-mechanical prototypes
-Experience working in a cross functional environment.
-Experience performing risk assessments.
Required Computer Skills:
-Experience using Microsoft Excel pivot charts and tables, and vlookup.
-Experience using MS Powerpoint
-Experience using MS Project
-Experience using Solidworks, Pro-E, or NX/UniGraphics
-Experience using SAP or other MRP system
Key Responsibilities:
-Take day-to-day direction from Senior Engineers.
-Interface with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Regulatory functions to complete assignments.
-Communicate verbally and via e-mail with suppliers and peers and senior engineers to address issues or seek input on new designs.
-Review engineering drawings for manufacturability.
-Prepare documentation for various Quality Reviews and Design Rviews
-Giving daily status report on tasks.
Required Communication Skills:
-Prepare technical reports in clear concise English
-Prepare powerpoints for Quality and Design reviews.
-Communicate clearly in meetings and reviews to justify position.
-Ability to speak and understand Spanish or French, or German is an added bonus.
