Title:- Sr. Process Engineer

The specific project involves a multi-million dollar new installation of lip stick making equipment. Using Clorox engineering standards and processes develop the testing and qualification plans. Ensure the proper SOPs are developed and plant personnel are trained. The equipment is installed and qualified. Defines, manages, and critically reviews work products from outside engineering firms to provide detailed process engineering work for projects. Must be capable of working across different technologies within the Plant. Position requires approximately 10% travel.
As a Sr. Process Engineer, this employee must use engineering principles and Clorox Early Management tools to design and improve Clorox manufacturing processes that involve the mixing, conversion, or reaction of raw materials through various unit operations into finished products. Provides day-to-day process engineering technical expertise to manufacturing operations as needed. Part of a multi-functional teams providing chemical/process engineering functional expertise for project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up, including projects related to other disciplines, such as packaging, and facilities improvements,. Work with R&D and Product Supply to scale up production to the plant. Be an expert in tanks and batching processes.
| Scope Factors:
| People Management & Span of Control (Managers/Supervisors Only): Will interface and direct Process, Contractor, Maintenance, R&D, and Production Service resources. Through leadership and influence, manages project teams and other cross-functional teams to deliver project Marilyn, identify process improvements, and solve process problems. Manages and directs the work of outside engineering consultants and construction contractors during design and implementation of projects. Train (or insure training occurs) Filling Techs, Compounders, and Mechanics on the proper use of equipment and machinery as a part of the project. Interact with R&D to develop scale up production for the plant. Work within Change Management to address new or modified process and procedures. Assist the Training Manager in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Job Aids, and standard work for newly purchased and existing equipment. Work with the Safety Manager on projects to insure safety excellence on assigned lines. Work with QC department on projects to insure repeatable good quality on assigned lines.

| Minimum Requirements:
| Years and Type of Experience: 10 years professional experience including 5 years working in color cosmetics, specifically lip and face products. Experience should also include at least 1 year of production/operational work. Ideally have experience with Weckerle lip stick making equipment. | Skills and Abilities: Must have good chemical engineering capability related to use of principles of mass and energy balances and application of engineering principles against common unit operations with a high focus on batch scale up, color matching, and recipe development. Must have good written, listening, and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of organization. Must have the ability to effectively organize and lead meetings. Must be able to work with a cross-function of Plant Operators, Mechanics, Technicians, R&D, Central Engineering, other corporate personnel, outside resources, and contractors to deliver results. Must have ability to plan and organize work independently and work with minimum supervision. Must have the ability to lead informal and formal teams. Must demonstrate attention to detail. Working knowledge required of manufacturing equipment/systems with a specific emphasis on Lip Stick Batching Systems, Liquid Filling, and Packaging. (Experience with equipment types/styles and line speeds similar to the Company’s current production systems a plus). Knowledge and experience in S88 Batching and/or PackML desirable.
| Education Level/Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or other cosmetic engineering discipline coupled with significant work experience in process engineering.
