Analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains software for the organization�s products and systems. Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency. Develops, validates, and tests: structures and user documentation. Work may be reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Follows established processes and directions. Designs, develops, and tests on a variety of software assignments that constitute a portion of a larger project. Develops and tests documentation which describes the specific software functionality. Participates and provides some input in project code reviews. Runs software tests designed by more experienced engineers. Reviews test results and perform root cause analyses to identify problems. Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues. Insures compliance with quality process and standards. Makes changes to or upgrades existing software. Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions. Makes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity. Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve problems. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects or assignments. May provide guidance to non-exempt personnel. Builds productive working relationships internally and externally. Primary intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline required. Minimum of 4+ years of engineering experience. 
 Essential Responsibilities: 
 • Deliver architectural initiatives that contribute to Zebra’s revenue programs 
 • Participate with research and implementation for architectural changes, determine feasibility, and vet out total building and buying software solutions 
 • Establishing code for proof-of-concept software implementations 
 • Document current and future state architectures including high level diagrams, logical system views, and data interactions 
 • Adhering to privacy and security compliance in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, PII, PCI) 
 • Developing and communicating new technology standards and best practices to multiple development teams 
 • Architecting, designing, building, and managing software capabilities for our global high performance infrastructure 
 • Developing and contributing as part of a team to talented engineers building the next generation of cloud-based and enterprise data solutions 
 Android Developers 
 • Android Framework (Core architecture, error handling, security framework, networking, user input/output) 
 • Development Tool Kits/Environments including generation, compilation, debugging 
 • Technologies: Javascript, Java, REST, JSON, XML, 3rd Party Library integration, SQL/DB 
 • Experience with networking protocols: TCP/UDP, SIP, RTP, RTCP 
 • Experience with implementation of Real-time communications, database application development 
 • Experience with implementation Location Services (collection, processing, analysis) 
 Special Note: 
 Suggested that the worker be local – The project is a cross business unit (3 business units), relatively short time frame and will be conducted using Agile methodology. Getting heavy inputs for co-location of resources.
