Project Management Specialist (Purchasing)

 | Description:  Position Overview 
 • Writes and edits documentation, including standard operating procedures, job aids and process overviews/flows 
 • Provides a wide variety of clerical or administrative support 
 • Supports the planning and coordination of new product introductions as it relates to process documentation 
 • Provides semi-complex clerical support to order management, logistics and materials management in data entry, filing, coordinating paper flow etc 
 • Participates in continuous improvement activities & supports related documentation requirements 
 • May assist in routine phases of document development cycle, including project scope and requirements, documentation design, etc. 
 • Participates in the preparation and maintenance of basic reports 
 • Participates in project management activities for semi-complex projects 
 • Supports order tracking 
 • Participates in the coordination of activities with other internal departments to meet customer needs 
 • Participates in the planning, scheduling and monitoring of the movement of materials through the 
 Production cycle 
 • Assist in initiating sales orders/purchase orders to vendors according to customer requirements 
 • Provides customer service and support; supports solutions and supports programs to resolve problems 
 • Supports the investigation and resolution of semi-complex problems 
 • Prepares daily reports (i.e., traffic) for customers and the organization 
 • Performs other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job
