Description: Siemens is seeking a third year Construction Engineering Student* ideally recruited from University of Central Florida, for Part time work 10 – 20 hours per week during the school year and full time during the 2018 summer break. During school year start time / end time and hours will be flexible to meet student’s schedule.
The candidate will provide engineering, administrative and technical support to the Siemens Real Estate (SRE) organization located at 3850 Quadrangle Boulevard, in Orlando, FL 32817 on project work related to implementation of environmental, safety and health management (EHS) programs as related to environmental remediation projects, Siemens construction projects and Siemens facility management activities.
The project assignments will relate to topics such as audits and follow up; implementation of SRE and EHS programs for construction projects; implementation of safety programs, tracking and monitoring of remediation projects and costs, tracking and monitoring of facility management EHS requirements, and other potential projects related to Siemens Real Estate are possible.
Area of responsibility is primarily tactical/operational in nature.. Will support the Siemens Real Estate Asset and Property Management Department as a contractor employee through Randstad.
The candidate must be a third year engineering student with a “B” Grade Point Average to qualify for this position.
*A construction engineering focus is preferred, but environmental engineering, civil engineering and industrial engineering may also be considered.
Knowledge of Outlook, word processing, spreadsheet, power point and project management scheduling tools, as well as organizational, communication and intrapersonal skills are desired.
An interest in gaining practical experience related to implementation of corporate real estate projects is essential.
This is a non-exempt position, with a pay rate of $20/hour. OT may be required only in special circumstances.
