ECR Product Owner

Title: ECR Product Owner - 2 Positions
Duration: 6 months Extendable
Location: Bothell, WA


The ECR Product Owner is responsible for understanding the vision as defined by the Product Manager and translating that vision into activities that can be consumed and delivered by a cross functional team. We are looking for a proven Product Owner who can clearly communicate the customer journey, break the customer journey down into features, epics, and user stories and collaborate closely with the delivery team to prioritize and deliver products that delight our customers.
The ECR Product Owner leads the product team in decomposing the Epic(s) into features as well as creating and prioritizing the Product Backlog based on its business value. The Product Owner provides daily clarification and feedback to the team, and ultimately accepts or rejects the teams work results. This position has significant relationships outside of the delivery team in working closely with the Product Manager and other product owners cross functionally to insure the solution delivers on product priorities and the product vision.
Our Product Owners reconcile competing stakeholder needs, opportunities, risks, and limitations to guide the flow of work with the team(s) they support. They work with Research and Development, Regulatory and Quality, Subject Matter Experts, Product Managers, Stakeholders, and other Product Owners collecting knowledge and offering the ECR organization, decision points, ways forward, and clear communication in a constantly changing environment. We are looking for a talented Product Owner who possess a deep understanding of the end customer and is able to clearly quantify the value and risks in order to focus the team on delivering the highest priority, highest business value features and stories.

 Key Responsibilities:
  • Owns the entire Customer Journey, ensures that everyone on the team understands the customer (persona), vision and goals at the beginning of every Sprint.
 • Excellent user experience intuition with demonstrated success in defining innovative solutions to address customer needs
 • Experience actively working with the delivery teams to set clear expectations around acceptable deliverables (what success looks like)
 • Highly skilled in setting priorities in alignment with the need to achieve the organizational goals and objectives
 • The definition and decomposition of features and epics for the product, service or capability
 • Owns the prioritization of the backlog to drive iterative content and ensure that the cross functional team is able to maximize the value delivered each iteration
 • Defines the binary acceptance criteria for features, epics and user stories
 • Decides most appropriate release date for content, adjusting features and priorities as needed
 • Coordinates with other teams to prioritize features and stories with external dependencies
 • Demonstrates exceptional problem solving skills and the willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
 • Highly skilled in setting priorities in alignment with the need to achieve the organizational goals and vision
 • Must be able to handle conflict effectively and drive for results
 • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and extreme comfort with data-driven decision making
 • Functional/technical aptitude and an ability to understand and discuss system architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs, and assess new opportunities with delivery team members

  To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience: 
 • 5+ years of Agile Experience 
 • 3+ years of Product Owner experience 
 • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferable 
 • Hands-on experience using Agile Lifecycle Management (ALMs) Tools 
 • The ability to articulate the customer journey 
 • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
 • Ability to communicate with management and provide clear and structured management reporting
