Job Description: 
Dell EMC is a worldwide provider of end to end technology solutions to a broad range of clients. 
Customer Solution Centers (CSC) is a sales enablement organization that delivers technical briefing, architectural design, and proof-of-concept services to Dell EMC customers within worldwide CSC facilities. 
Solutions Innovation & POC Program is a strategic investment between Dell EMC and a global technology partner. 
It is managed by the CSC and Dell EMC Global Commercial Channels Healthcare ISV organizations. 
This program enhances the customer experience with Dell Technologies portfolio and enables Sales and Marketing teams to drive solutions for Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS). 
We are currently looking for a Solution Architect (SA) to provide technical expertise needed for existing and new projects. 
The SA will be responsible for infrastructure solution design and testing tasks, with a focus on Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions built on Dell EMC PowerEdge servers and VMware vSAN. 
First and foremost, the SA should have experience working with Dell EMC portfolio: server, storage and network products. 
The SA should also be able to work with Dell End User Computing (EUC) solutions. 
The SA will work under the guidance of the Program Manager (PM), and work at the CSC Round Rock location. 

Responsibilities: 
Considered an expert in the field Responsible for installation and maintenance of highly complex hardware/software systems and supporting large user groups on multiple projects Supports multiple, highly complex specific hardware/software applications impacting the entire enterprise Decision maker with respect to selection and evaluation of complex enterprise hardware and software Analyzes wide ranging business needs and oversees implementation of ways to optimize PC hardware resources in achieving business objectives Acts as a team lead for maintaining and installing the most complex local area network server systems Impact is across a significant business area Assists lower team members and may act as a team leader mentoring junior professional staff Works on highly complex assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems of diverse scope and making choices, recommendations, or decisions that have significant business impact Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on complex business matters of significant impact across the entire organization Analyzes business needs and implements and oversees ways to optimize IT policies and procedures in achieving business objectives 
• Apply technical knowledge and experience to design infrastructure solutions for customers and partners in HCLS and potentially other industries 
• Physically rack and stack new hardware equipment, configure using Dell EMC system management software (e.g. iDRAC, OpenManage), and install and configure infrastructure software (Microsoft, VMware, RedHat, etc.) according to solution designs, and maintain within the lab environment 
• Maintain the existing lab environment incl. servers, storage, and network components to ensure adherence to requirements and accessibility to approved partners; and maintain EUC equipment in possession to ensure working order and readiness for demos 
• Join technical calls with ISV partners and act as a Dell EMC technology SME to support ISV partners 
• Work with the PM to create project plans, test plans, and test cases 
• Meet with the PM and provide status report weekly or as needed 
• Independently validate solution designs in testing environments, execute test cases, and document test results 
• Create reference architecture and technical content for whitepapers under the PM guidance 
• Work with the PM to design solution demos for Marketing and Sales events; independently build solution demos with Dell EMC and/or partners’ technologies, and provide support to the events 

Requirements:
- Experience in solution design and testing using HCI, PowerEdge Servers, and VMware ESXi, vSAN technology 
- General IT expertise and knowledge of solutions development, components and architectures 
- Understanding of server virtualization, hyper-converged, & hybrid cloud models 
- Experience within large environments especially within core Dell EMC technology offerings 
- Ability to perform a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in overall systems design and testing 
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with Dell EMC and partners contacts 
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 
- English Fluency Preferences
- Experience with Dell EMC storage and networking technologies 
- Experience with hybrid cloud technologies (VMware, Microsoft, Pivotal, etc.) 
- Experience with Dell End User Computing technologies including desktop, laptop, thin client, VDI
