The primary function of this role is: Enablement and execution of HDD/SSD qualification for Enterprise server and storage platforms in DellEMC development lab.
Daily tasks include:
• Receiving, racking, cabling and configuring enterprise hardware • Operating and maintaining test environment for HDD/SSD qualification • Assisting with resource management, shipping and receiving • FW flashing, configuration and troubleshooting server components • Working with sensitive components in ESD controlled environment Valuable knowledge: • TCP/IP host configuration and use of PXE for imaging • Dell/EMC product familiarity, especially PowerEdge /PEC servers and PowerVault/PS/SC storage platforms • Use of serial concentrator, IP KVMs (SSH Consoles, Java, other common tools) • Familiarity with SAS/Ethernet cable solutions • RHEL and Server 2012/2016 (experience installing and configuring OS) • Ability to follow documentation and test plans • Anu experience with Enterprise Sever, Storage, or Networking products Successful candidates will: • Be comfortable with ambiguity and common-culture of testing or dev/ops environment • Be resourceful and enjoy exposure to new technology and nebulous problems • Be self-motivated and thrive in situations that require a sense of urgency
Performs design characterization on all Product Group products. Analyzes characterizations for violations of known specifications, potential violations and overall signal integrity. Proposes and or implements fixes for any known violations. Troubleshoots and repairs systems to the component level. Sets up, configures and tests prototype systems and software. Assembles and disassembles prototype systems as necessary. Researches and learns new technologies and procedures

**Large part of this role will be receiving, racking, cabling and configuring enterprise hardware. Candidate must be comfortable working in a very hands on environment and able to follow processes/documentation.
**1-3 years of experience is needed in L1 cabling. This role will get to touch every single product Dell ships.
