Location: Chicago IL
Duration: 6 months+
Reporting to Associate Director, Procurement, this position is responsible for hands-on management of a Procurement team, involving team leadership, collaboration with key business leadership and stakeholders, formulating value realization and customer satisfaction strategies, developing procurement programs and approaches for multiple categories in the Information Technology space (including cloud, infrastructure, security, on-prem software, hardware, and consulting services), with a focus on balancing superior service to IT functional clients with maximized value for the company of items purchased. This position will drive the Business Unit strategy and agenda across Corporate Indirect Procurement through effective communication and interaction within the company.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree; agriculture business, business administration, economics, Information Technology, and/or engineering preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in related field; strong technical and operational knowledge of manufacturing processes; familiarity with business and contract law as applied to supplier relationships required; Animal science/husbandry experience will enhance position effectiveness.
Exposure to global sourcing is a plus.
Computer Skills:
Standard computer skills; experience in spreadsheet, database and statistical analysis are necessary. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; formal presentations are required. Special Skills: Strong negotiating skills; ability to multi-task, attention to detail, organized; exemplary customer service skills; judgment to handle confidential information and challenging business situations; ability to lead and influence others; effective and proven strategic planning, project management, problem solving, leadership and team building skills. Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform different tasks and activities.
