12 months contract to start with (extendable and potential to convert fulltime)
Assists in routine material specification, schematic preparation and appropriate follow-up.
Provides assistance in routine design, development, testing and modifications of solutions.
Provides assistance in preparing explanations and clarifies information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of routine specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data. Assists in communicating routine technical and commercial issues clearly. May assist in recommending routine new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet requirements.
This position requires someone with 2-5 years of experience in testing and characterization of electro-mechanical HW. Reliability Testing background includes hands on activities such as test planning, writing test protocols, creating test fixtures, writing test software using labview, test execution, tracking failure modes and creating test reports.
Characterization testing requires ability to study impact of control factors and noise factors on response variables using fractional factorial experiments.
Proficiency in labview is expected.
Mere familiarity will not be enough. Ability to work with hardware, software and systems engineers to identify reliability issues and provide solutions to decrease unscheduled service will be a big plus.
Experience in Medical diagnostics industry is preferred.
Industry experience is mandatory.
A person who loves to work hands on in R&D laboratory will be a good fit.
The person should possess a high-level of self-motivation and ability to work on a team.
Ability to effectively manage time, organize and prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments is necessary.
Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills expected.
