Industrial Engineer:
Specific Job duties include:
Development of process work instructions, and Facility layout documentation.
Must have Engineering/technical degree. Prefer Industrial or Manufacturing.
Must have good written and verbal skills.
Works with limited guidance taking engineering released documents, support from Industrial Engineers and production floor personnel, and investigations to develop manufacturing work instructions for the shop floor. Interfaces with Industrial Engineers and Production Planning to obtain information/feedback to develop Work instructions. Supports Industrial Engineers in finding methods/solutions to issues with regards to streamlining production processes. Reviews and documents work procedures for special situations as required. Work instructions include weld sequence, fixture loading sequence, assembly sequence, etc. Experience with Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel necessary. Ability to use AutoCAD and PTC Creo at a proficient level will be needed. Technical background preferred especially in jig and fixture design, time study and improvement, 5s, and problem solving for electro-mechanical manufacturing processes. General knowledge of rail products is preferred. Experience in developing and documenting manufacturing methods and processes is preferred
