The EMEA Email Marketing Manager role is a 6-month contract role (with potential to hire) based in Amsterdam, NL or Santa Clara, CA, and is responsible for the execution, optimization, & reporting of EMEA email campaigns, with the objective of delivering increased efficiency, volume and health goals for the channel over time.
This person needs to think customer-first, champion brand and message consistency, and provide best-in-class experiences for both internal customers and end users.

Send best in class emails; live and breathe the end user recipient experience of Palo Alto Networks emails
Manage the end-to-end process of email creation, localization, execution, and reporting, including but not limited to working with business stakeholders, creating lists, creating/updating email HTMLs, QA of emails and landing pages, creating simple and complex workflows (including AB testing), sending proofs and final emails, ensuring accurate attribution/tracking, and delivering systematic reporting
Translate data into actionable information and ideas
Work with the Global Email Marketing on the development of new processes and procedures to ensure email quality, successful delivery, and click-ability
Be an operational subject matter expert of our Email Sending Platform; train internal users on email concepts, metrics, and best practices
Own and coordinate the EMEA Demand Generation email calendar and campaign tracker; routinely socialize upcoming sends and historical results
Work with local stakeholders (Marketing Program & Field Marketing Managers) to increase email engagement, and market systematically to all marketable email addresses in our database while maintaining our IP reputation
Special projects as needed  

Expert-level English speaking and writing
2-4 years of experience in email marketing and/or CRM roles, including a deep understanding of email marketing, automation, and optimization
Detail-oriented perfectionist mindset is critical
Experience building welcome, nurture/drip, and re-engagement flows required
A strong quantitative focus and data-driven approach - excellent strategic and analytical thinking skills
Ability to translate complex technical problems and solutions to non-technical team members
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; comfort with ambiguity and constantly shifting priorities
Intermediate project and people management skills
Interest in our industry and its evolution; interest in solving complex problems and process development
Familiarity with marketing automation, optimization, and CRM software (e.g. Adobe Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Optimizely, Tableau, etc.)
A university degree; advanced degree preferred
