Job Description:
The following skills will be needed to perform this job:
• Understanding of sales, inventory, delivery and shipment processes in SAP
• Deep understanding of inventory processes and the interdependencies between the WMS and an inventory host system like SAP
• Deep understanding of the warehousing processes from receiving, to put away, to allocation, to picking, to staging, to loading, to shipping, and cross docking
• Experience with WMS configuration in a tool like JDA (Red Prairie), Manhattan (WMOS), High Jump, or SAP EWM
• Experience with voice picking
• Experience with Labor Management in warehouse locations
• Experience integrating to a WCS (warehouse control system)
Summary:
This position is responsible for developing IS solutions, strategies and architectures to support and enable the business as it evolves.
This includes ensuring; completeness - adequately addressing all pertinent concerns of stakeholders; relevance or fitness of purpose; IS / business alignment, integrity of the architecture; integrating business processes, data and information, technology, and applications and; acceptable compromise among conflicting concerns of stakeholders, business, and IS.
This position will work closely with other IS groups & management to ensure that Tyson has a viable IS architecture today and a long range architecture blueprint for the future. O
ther duties include: maintaining continuous and current understanding of the relationships among: business processes, strategies, priorities, culture, IS infrastructure, application portfolio, emerging technologies, data information, technology, and applications; identifying gaps between the current architecture and the architecture required to support the future requirements; leading or participating in the development of IS solutions, strategies, architectures, standards, guidelines, and governance processes to address gaps and to maintain IS / business alignment; organizing team members and other resources in determining approach and reporting status; developing models and presentations that effectively communicate IS strategies and architectures; other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical area. Equivalent work experience may be acceptable.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in a variety of business environments and functions; including IS, and with exposure to all levels of management.
Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills; advanced understanding of multiple business and/or IS functional areas; ability to quickly assess and understand impacts to the organization of business and IS architecture changes.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to interacting with all management levels within the business and IS organizations.
Special Skills: Ability to interpret ideas and problems within a "big picture" context; strong problem-solving skills; ability to effectively pursue objectives with vague or ambiguous direction; demonstrated negotiation skills in multiple of the following areas: conflict resolution, consensus building, prioritization, team building.
Travel: Some travel may be required. Amount of travel will be determined by individual project requirements.
