. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Bogie projects for Light Rails, Streetcars, Metros, Locomotives and Passenger Coaches for customers within North-America and also internationally with our headquarters in Germany and Austria. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the project teams (consisting of Engineering, Procurement, Production and Quality-Management) to ensure a smooth workflow and project execution to obtain optimum effectiveness. One of the focus areas will be change management during design, procurement, production, service and warranty phases of projects. He/she will be facilitating execution of continuous improvement plans and assisting Project Managers with schedule, budget, risk, opportunity and resource allocation management. The incumbent might perform active role interfacing with the client and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction, this includes working on change orders, claims and warranty work. He/she will also support project managers providing progress reports to the management on a regular basis.
We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering (MBA is a plus) with project management skills and at least 1 year of successful experience in a related field. Working knowledge of Microsoft-Office programs is required. Knowledge of German language is a plus. Required travel: 25%. Excellent technical, oral and written communication skills required; must be able to demonstrate presentation skills.
