Production Support - Electrical Design 

Working as the interface between Electrical Design Team and manufacturing. The individual will be responsible for maintaining a tracking process for both heavy and light rail assembly teams. The role will require understanding of the engineering documentation and processes, and using this knowledge to assist manufacturing members or improve engineering documentation. All tracked issues from the shop floor will require suggested solutions, discussing with engineering, and in some case making the modifications and releasing redlines or ECNs to maintain design progress. 

• Understanding of electrical engineering schematics, BOMs 
• Review electrical design to US and European standards (IEEE, NFPA, DIN etc..) 
• Prepare, review and submit technical specifications and proposals 
• Prepare, review and submit light rails, locomotives and coaches electrical concept of low 
voltage and high voltage 
• Provide support to customers, vendors, chain management and engineering management 
• Create, update and manage redlines of Engineering/Manufacturing BOM 
• Create and release engineering documents (redlines and BOM) via PDMLink, SAP and 
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, interfacing with factory workers, 
purchasing, communication with suppliers and customers, and interdepartmental interaction 
• Ability to create and support Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) 

• Interfacing and interpreting system engineering documents is a key part of the design process
• The ability to perform complex and technically demanding work within technical or 
paraprofessional area will be required 
•Preempts potential problems and provides effective solutions in reaction to application of 
concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes. 
•Independently seeks complex solutions and unusual problems before contacting others 
•The role may require providing expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff
and train lower level employees. 

Education and Work Experience: 

•Bachelor's degree in related field with 2 years’ experience 
•Associate Degree in related field with 3 years’ experience 
•High School Diploma with 5 years’ experience
