Manufacuring Electronics Technician

Summary

Aperia is looking for a Manufacturing Electronics Technician to support assembly & test of the revolutionary Aperia Halo Tire Inflator.  This position will work in the Aperia offices in San Leandro and reports to the Vice President of Operations. 

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility is to diagnose & resolve production assembly & test issues
  • Should drive issues to root cause, work cross-functionally to implement appropriate changes, and then thoroughly document the issue & resolution
  • Develop, maintain, and improve production test processes & equipment, specifically electronics, hardware, software, and control systems
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to develop test strategies & equipment for new products; Manage the release of new products and test equipment into Manufacturing
  • Assist with the collection and organization of production test data
  • Assist with the development, presentation & maintenance of Manufacturing metrics

Qualifications

  • Must have a technical degree in Electronics
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Manufacturing Electronics Technician with increasing responsibilities
  • Must have an experience developing, diagnosing, and improving manufacturing test equipment, specifically electronics, software & control systems
  • Working experience with National Instruments, LabView, Opto22, programming (C, C++, Unix) strongly preferred
  • Must have experience in a fast-paced NPI environment
  • Must have solid analytical skills
  • Should strive for continuous improvement systems to achieve operational efficiencies
  • Must work flawlessly in a team environment consisting of materials, engineering, sales, installation, quality, accounting & suppliers
  • Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills
