HR & RECRUITER DIRECTOR
ANINE BING Corporation is a fast growing fashion & commerce startup revolutionizing the way products are developed, produced, marketed, sold, and delivered to customers. The brand reaches customers across social platforms, eCommerce, branded brick-and-mortar stores, and major department stores. ANINE BING has a global presence, with11 stores in 6 countries around the world.
TEAM AND OFFICE
ANINE BING has 60+ employees across Sales, Production, Design, Graphics, and Customer Service located in Downtown Los Angeles. Key investors include Index Ventures founder Danny Rimer (Facebook, Dropbox, Net-A-Porter, Nasty Gal), Greycroft Partners founder Dana Settle (Maker Studios, Thrive Market, AwesomenessTV), and Felix Capital founder Frederic Court (Goop, Farfetch, Vitrue, Dailymotion).
This position requires a highly accomplished HR and Recruiter DIrector who has demonstrated results in an organization driven by creative leaders. You will need to be creative and think outside of the box by contributing to the overall inventive energy of our company.
This is a roll-up-sleeves and get-hands-dirty role for an ambitious and hungry HR specialist who wants to partner with a world class creative team to build a next generation fashion brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage full‐cycle recruitment (researching, screening, interviewing, and closing) for multiple job requisitions for a variety of hiring managers from multiple disciplines. This includes evaluating candidates for core values and culture fit just as much as for skill level, experience, and knowledge.
- Play a crucial role in shaping ANINE BING’s future by identifying and hiring world-class talent. This is all encompassing from providing input on the preparation of job descriptions to making recommendations on employment brand strategy.
- Adapt quickly to changing hiring priorities (we move fast so you will need to as well) by formulating plans to fill new roles quickly and brainstorming with hiring managers to assemble powerful sourcing strategies for each search.
- Create and maintain Google Hire and other relevant platforms to promote open roles and foster candidate interaction and engagement
- Prepare and process new hire and termination notifications/paperwork
- Process background and reference checks
- Own the on-boarding / off - boarding process including maintaining and updating orientation presentations, employee handbook as well as coordinating and conducting new hire orientations
- Own all payroll paperwork and manage paid time off database
- Maintain org charts to ensure they reflect current openings accurately
- Handle all HR admin tasks including conducting employment verifications, responding to unemployment claims and managing all leave administration including corresponding with employees (ensuring they understand their benefits and entitlements), state agencies, and company disability insurance providers
- Ensure flawless execution of employee relations, compensation, benefits compliance and people reporting
- Create and maintain HR policies to support the business and legal requirements
- Enforce consistency with our Company policies and procedures
- Routinely respond to and resolve employee inquiries
- Assist with ad-hoc HR projects and other administrative tasks as assigned
- Be aware of current HR trends and what matters most to today’s workforce and make recommendations on how to keep ANINE BING Corporation ahead of the curve
REQUIREMENTS
- 7-10 year(s) experience in full cycle recruiting for all levels across multiple disciplines.
- Demonstrated skills in all aspects of recruiting such as networking, sourcing, qualifying, screening, negotiating/closing and relationship management.
- A strong work ethic, integrity and personal accountability.
- A proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency and a proven ability to take initiative, use consultative skills and build strong, productive relationships.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems (that means actually using it).
